Miss Kelly is a Dance Instructor of Studio 89 Inc.

Miss Kelly has studied jazz, tap (I.S.T.D.), ballet (I.S.T.D. and Cecchetti), lyrical and hip-hop. Later in her career she started expanding her training and studied styles in East Indian Cultural Dance and many different branches of hip-hop.

Miss Shelby is the Artistic Director of Studio 89 Inc.

Miss Shelby developed her love and passion for dance at the age of 5. Since then, she has been trained in styles such as ballet (I.S.T.D, R.A.D, and Cecchetti), tap (Al Gilbert, I.S.T.D, and A.D.A.P.T), jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip hop. She has had various opportunities to train as a dancer and teacher in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, Vancouver, and Calgary. She has performed in the Edmonton Grey Cup Half Time Show with Bachman Turner Overdrive and has attended many competitions, festivals and conventions receiving recognition and awards for her performances and choreography.

Miss Shelby has been sharing her love of dance and movement with her students of all ages for over 18 years. She believes in the holistic development (mind, body and soul) of the whole dancer to ensure the safety and longevity of each student. Her love for movement has extended to include Pilates and Yoga, allowing her classes to have infusions of this work to help strengthen her dancers. She is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique, Acrobatic Arts and Cecchetti Junior Grades Instructor, Usui Reiki Level 1 and she also holds a Bachelor of Commerce.

Her passion for dance has also led to the creation of Debut Dance Events, an event company providing dancers the opportunity to compete and perform around Alberta. She is also the Co Director of Ace Academy of Dance. Miss Shelby looks forward to continue to share her passion for dance, movement and teaching with her students.

Miss Emily is Acrobatic Arts Certified and teaches our Acro program and is excited to share her knowledge and skills with our dancers, to help them reach their full potential while training the dancers with proper technique and safety as the basis of their strong foundation.

She has been working with Studio 89 Inc and One Step Ahead preschool for 11 years!

She also has her Level 1 in Early Childhood Education.

You will also see her at our front desk as she is our Administrative Director!

Miss Nevaeh has been dancing since the young age of 2! She grew up as a competitive dancer, training in Jazz, Tap (Al Gilbert, ISTD), Ballet (ISTD, Cechetti, RAD), Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip hop, Musical Theatre, Pointe, and Acro. She has attended various conventions across Canada and the United States, and has competed both Nationally and Internationally. She has also competed at Dance World Cup Canada, brining home title wins. Throughout her competitive years, she has been recognized many times for her excellent technique and phenomenal quality of dance.

Miss Nevaeh’s love for dance has brought her to become a passionate teacher, and looks forward to sharing her love for dance with her students!

Miss Kayla began dancing for over 20 years, since that time she has trained in many disciplines, including: ballet (I.S.T.D and R.A.D), jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary and modern. Throughout her years of training she has attended many competitions and festivals around the province. Kayla has also had the opportunity to attend conventions which have allowed her to train under world renowned teachers and choreographers.

Miss Kayla has experience teaching age ranges from 18 months to 18 years.  Miss Kayla still enjoys performing and training. She has performed across Canada and the US.

Miss Alysha is the Founder, Owner and Artistic Director of Studio 89 Inc.

Miss Alysha started dancing at a young age and instantly fell in love with it. She grew up dancing competitively and is trained in Ballet (I.S.T.D, R.A.D and Cechetti), Jazz, Tap (AI Gilbert and I.S.T.D), Lyrical, Modern, Pointe, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop. Miss Alysha is Acrobatic Arts Certified, Alixia Flexibility Certified and Progressive Ballet Technique Certified. Miss Alysha was a part of a performing group that has travelled across Canada, the US and Germany performing.  She strongly believes in continuing education and attends many classes and conventions across Canada and the US, taking classes from industry leaders. She passes on her love of dance and experience to her dancers and encourages them to believe in themselves. She believes strongly in family and creating an atmosphere for dancers, parents and teachers can feel confident in a safe space!

Her passion for dance has also led to the creation of Debut Dance Events, an event company providing dancers the opportunity to compete and perform around Alberta with her sister, Miss Shelby.

Miss Alysha strongly believes in training dancers in all aspects of life! Miss Alysha is one of the head teachers of the ACE ACADEMY of DANCE, a Parkland School Division Student Athlete Academy. Helping dancers from any studio further their training and abilities by strengthening their fundamental basics.

She is so proud of the studio atmosphere she has created focused around family and growth.
